However, the sheer scale of the 85-inch display does expose some limitations. Certain streaming apps occasionally lacked the crispness and clarity one might expect from a premium set. While not entirely TCL’s fault—high-resolution content from sources like Fandango at Home in 4K or 4K Ultra HD discs largely mitigates this—the overall picture quality didn’t always feel as exceptional as its Samsung and LG counterparts at a similar price point. Furthermore, skin tone benchmarks, a crucial test for realism, were not as convincing or lifelike as those seen on a Micro RGB model.
