“We consciously moved away from the typical corporate office template because our goal was to create an environment that truly nurtures well-being and spontaneous collaboration,” explains Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro. This philosophy birthed the ‘Mangrove Garden,’ a sprawling 54,000-square-foot, three-story office in Hong Kong’s vibrant Quarry Bay district, designed not just to house employees, but to inspire them.

Bespoke lighting, thoughtfully integrated into timber-clad ceilings, gently guides movement throughout the expansive space, while curved furnishings echo this natural flow, promoting a sense of ease and continuity. High-traffic areas are softened by plush carpet tiles, and a sophisticated interplay of durable oak laminates with textured fabrics introduces subtle contrast and tactile richness.
Prioritizing Well-being and Eco-Consciousness
Sustainability is not an afterthought but a foundational principle of the Mangrove Garden. The design maximizes natural daylight, allowing it to permeate every room, reducing the reliance on artificial illumination.
