Nanit Home Display Review: A Transformative Tablet

However, the first thing that struck me when I opened and set up the product was how tall and skinny the floor stand-camera is. Luckily, an anchor is included to secure the stand to the wall, making it more stable and less likely to be knocked over.
Moreover, the 8-inch touchscreen display is the star of the show, sitting on your nightstand like a digital photo frame. Unfortunately, the touchscreen feels slightly underpowered, with a bit of sluggishness and occasional unresponsiveness.
Clarity Check
However, in most conditions, Nanit’s video quality is solid, with clear and responsive live feeds. The display also shows room temperature and humidity levels, which is a nice touch.
Meanwhile, the sound is clear as day, with the Home monitor pinging when it detects crying or motion. However, the audio can be muffled when the device is lying flat on a surface.
Screen Time
Consequently, the touchscreen monitor’s home screen is a mixture of widgets, including the live feed, your baby’s status, and environmental conditions. However, the screen is very bright, even with the brightness turned down.
Therefore, it’s worth noting that the screen won’t go to sleep automatically when on the live stream view, staying illuminated until you press the power button again.
The Nanit Ecosystem
However, the app is still essential for certain tasks, such as adjusting most day-to-day settings on the Home device. You can buy the Home and camera as a bundle or pick up the Home on its own, which is great news for existing Nanit users.
Meanwhile, the Home is designed to seamlessly fit into Nanit’s existing ecosystem, making it easy to integrate with your existing setup.
